Description
Vector illustration using photo reference, done entirely in Adobe Illustrator. This one took about 30 hours. Check out the production sequence (a collage of snapshots taken during the process) in the links below. (June 2005)

Nope, it's not me. It's Miki Fujimoto (but they say their family name first, so it's the other way around -- Fujimoto Miki). She's a pop singer (of Morning Musume fame). The Japanese text is her name -- fuji-moto mi-ki. Her family name (Fujimoto) means "wisteria origin" (wisteria is a funky purple type of flower), and her given name means "beautiful, precious". Don't know if you wanted a Japanese lesson or not, but there you go.
