Nice job. You've managed to give a soft edged feel with what most would consider a hard edged medium (i.e.) vector.

really love the detail in the seat, gives great sense of the bend in the seat, the hair and the reflection also done perfectly. +8/9, monotone color values are pretty neat too

I suppose there is something a bit strange about her hand, but I can't quite put my finger on it (haha). I'm pretty sure it's the right size and shape. Actually it looks a bit strange in the reference too. It might just be a quirk of the angle and lighting of that scene.

Anyway, many thanks to everyone for all the great feedback.

I really have to give credit to the director (Sofia Coppola) and/or cinematographer (Lance Acord) of Lost In Translation for the concept and mood of this scene. I just thought it was a particularly beautiful moment, and wanted to capture it in my own way. I think it's kind of a cross between photography and drawing.
